Women's Rights

No one understands the fight for women's rights better than a woman herself.

I will fight for:

Adequate access to healthcare for women across the board, research for women's healthcare and women's healthcare education. Across the field of medicine, women's value, health and research has not been given the same attention or importance. This is unacceptable. 

Access to free universal childcare for all parents. Not only to support women, who this effects the most, but to support healthy families, to increase employment rates, and provide access to critical early childhood education for our children from baby to age 5.  

Equal pay for women for equal work in the labor field.

Equal access to justice and legal counsel for women.

Legal protection for women who are victims of abuse and domestic violence, even when there is no police report. It is too common an occurrence of injustice that the law is twisted to hand children over to violent, abusive or substance abusive partners when a woman speaks up, testifies and asks for protection. Our justice system and all branches of government should possess intentionality to carry justice, not indifference to harm of women and children. When we see this level of indifference it is indicative of corruption that needs addressed.
