Economic Justice

I believe in and support a Green New Deal. 

We are facing an economic crisis caused by corporate financial bullying and corruption within the branches of our government. Inflation reform needed addressed three years faster and it barely touches the tip of the iceberg. We do not have time for ill-intentioned or complacent leadership. We must stop financial bullying in its tracks with legislation that protects our people and holds corporations and government branches accountable.

My first priority is activating our economy and elevating and empowering lower income individuals to break free from economic slavery, and the struggles, trauma and bondages of poverty. We have to prioritize poverty reduction and eradication in order to grow a sustainable healthy economy.

Ohio is currently 38th in median income for our country. Our middle class earners are slipping further and further under the poverty line everyday. We must act now to stop this! When I talk to constituents there is unanimous concern about this crisis. Many have expressed to me that they feel our middle class has already disappeared.

I believe in universal free childcare for all working parents, this would help to raise not only our income but our overall standing nationally, as well as educating and preparing the minds of our young citizens to optimize life long learning.

I would like to try a state-wide free public college education program, as we have seen from research these are very successful in Europe and other countries. This would include all public colleges and vocational schools. All existing student loan debt needs canceled. Educating our citizens is not only to keep up with the world stage, but it yields a much stronger economy and is necessary for national security.

Additional ways I will prioritize fighting for the immediate bolstering of our economy is through affordable housing and livable wages.
